Empowering women through skills, creativity, and community enterprise.
Empowering Women to Lead Change
Chatkeeli, also known as Societymaker, is a community-led initiative that enables women from marginalized backgrounds to build sustainable livelihoods. Through skill development, entrepreneurship, and market access, women transform their talents into income, independence, and leadership within their communities.
Why It Matters
Many women in low-income and migrant households face social and economic barriers that limit their opportunities for growth. Chatkeeli bridges this gap by offering flexible, home-based learning and work opportunities - allowing women to earn, express creativity, and strengthen their sense of agency.
How We Work
Chatkeeli operates as a collective model that nurtures both skill and spirit. Training centres act as creative and economic hubs where women learn, collaborate, and lead.
Key activities include
-
Skill-building workshops in stitching, embroidery, crochet, and craft production
-
Entrepreneurship sessions on pricing, sales, and small business management
-
Financial literacy training focused on savings, budgeting, and independence
-
Market linkage support through exhibitions, corporate stalls, and online sales
-
Leadership development to encourage women to take decision-making roles in the collective

Our Approach
Beyond training, Chatkeeli nurtures a sense of solidarity. Women co-design products, manage production, and take ownership of the brand. Each product carries the story of its maker - blending livelihood with dignity and creativity.
